HOW DO I JOIN?

Whether you are coming from another faith, transferring your membership from another Methodist church, or seek to know a new relationship with Christ, we want you to know that we take that decision very seriously. We understand that it requires time, consideration, and prayer. Here are few guidelines to help you in making that decision.

  • You can visit the church for as long as you like while you consider your decision. Be sure to stop by the Welcome Centers for a gift bag that will contain information about our church.

  • CLICK HERE to read the BELIEFS of the United Methodist Church. If you should have any questions, we have easy-to-read books and pamphlets at our Welcome Centers. Also, feel free to call and make an appointment with our ministers who can answer your specific questions.

  • Baptisms by other faiths are recognized in the United Methodist Church. If you have never been baptized, we are delighted to schedule one with you, either private or during a worship service.

  • Consider attending Methodism 101 classes (Two 45-minute sessions) that are held every fall and spring during the Sunday School hour.

  • You will be asked when you join the United Methodist Church to "offer your time, talent, gifts, service, and witness."

  • New members can join by walking to the front at the end of any worship service, by scheduling a private time to join, or by visiting the church office during the week.

If you are ready to join, email Michelle Bergstedt, or call our Membership Coordinator at 337-436-6656.
